NEW IEC CERTIFICATION
"10A-30A" Series Receives IEC 950 (EN60950) Listing
UltraVolt, Inc. is pleased to announce that the "10A -> 30A" series DC to DC High Voltage Power
Supplies from 10kV to 30kV and 4 Watts to 30 Watts have received IEC 950 (EN60950) listing. Underwriters
Laboratories tested, analyzed & documented the original work on the series of 30 models along with the
applicable options & accessories. This work was the basis for the CB report submitted to IEC by UL.
The IEC listing will assist any of our customers who are designing a system for shipment to Europe and also
CE marking the systems.

UltraVolt, Inc. is pleased to announce that the "10A -> 30A" series DC to DC High Voltage Power
Supplies from 10kV to 30kV and 4 Watts to 30 Watts have received Underwriters Laboratories component
recognition. Underwriters Laboratories tested, analyzed & documented the series of 30 models along with
the applicable options & accessories. These models are now recognized by Underwriters Laboratories component
recognition programs UL-1950 & CUL-950 (CSA-950). All units will bear the RU mark & cRU mark.

NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT
"-FL" Series: Floating Hot Deck LV Power Supply
UltraVolt, Inc. is pleased to announce the beginning of beta testing on an entirely new series of standard
product floating hot deck LV power supplies with isolated controls, the "FL" series. This series
accepts on the system ground side a LV power input, TTL control signal, and analog 0 to +5VDC control. These
are then isolated and provided to the floating side for operation in circuits at up to 12kV continues, 15kV
peak! Factory confidence testing is indicating leakage currents of 5 nano-amps @ 20kV and only 25pF of
leakage capacitance. These modules are for applications requiring floating LV power for digital electronics,
pulsers, stacking HV power supplies, floating filaments or detectors, etc. Beta units & preliminary technical
information are available immediately. Full data sheets & production will be after beta customer feedback,
completion of internal statistical data collection over all environments & operating ranges, and preliminary
safety agency review.

Triple Output "AUX" Series
UltraVolt, Inc. is pleased to announce the beginning of beta testing on an entirely new series of standard
product high voltage power supplies, the Triple Output "AUX" series. This series gives the standard
0 to +10kV, 15kV, 20kV, 25kV & 30kV "A" series DC to DC HVPS the ability to provide two low power
regulated adjustable outputs while increasing the overall case by only 0.250” in height. The "AUX"
outputs are positive polarity, same as the main supply. The configuration is for tube biases, so the main
output is typically labeled as an Anode, with the two AUX supplies labeled Focus & Grid. Each "AUX"
output is a fixed regulated output with an adjustment range from the fixed output to 450V lower (or 0V if
applicable). Standard output current is +-25uA. Higher current is available, up to 100’s of uAs, when the
output is set to maximum & used as a fixed output. Available outputs are from 150V to 3000V in 150V
increments. These modules can also be used in conjunction with "A" & "AUX" series units
for multi-module CRT solutions. Beta units & preliminary technical information are available immediately.

data collection over all environments & operating ranges, and preliminary safety agency review.

Dual Output "AUX" Series
UltraVolt, Inc. is pleased to announce the beginning of beta testing on an entirely new series of standard
product high voltage power supplies, the Dual Output "AUX" series. This series gives the standard
125V to 6kV "A" & "C" series DC to DC HVPS the ability to provide a second, low power
regulated output within the STANDARD CASE SIZE! This "AUX" output can be either polarity & is
not dependent on the polarity of the main supply. Fixed regulated outputs are available from 47V to 329V @ 2mA
and 450V to 1050V at 1mA. The auxiliary output can be used for many purposes such as a trigger coil bias in
flashlamp & laser applications, a pull-up or pull down bias for pulse/waveform generating, a grid or focus
bias for a multi-module CRT solution. Beta units & preliminary technical information are available
immediately. Full data sheets & production will be after beta customer feedback, completion of internal
statistical data collection over all environments & operating ranges, and preliminary safety agency review.

UltraVolt, Inc. is pleased to announce that Relcom Agencies Ltd. has joined the UltraVolt team as our
representative in Israel. Relcom’s staff has experience in military, medical & industrial high voltage
applications and can provide UltraVolt's customers with design support.

NEW LOWER RIPPLE
"A" Series
UltraVolt, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has completed a 14 month effort to further reduce the output
ripple of the "A" series DC to DC HV power supplies. While these devices had low ripple, and in the
case of units equipped with the "-F" Ripple Stripper® Output Filter configuration very low ripple,
changes in the market place, customer feedback & tightening compliance issues indicated improving output
ripple would be very helpful to our customers. After completing a detailed customer review & survey, the
hardware was beta site tested & included in the UL reviews for UL-1950 & CUL-950. Ripple reduction
ranged from 25% to 60% on standard "A" series units, and reductions ranged 30% to 90% on "A"
units equipped with the "-M" & "-F" options. All mechanical & electrical specifications
were maintained & new MTBF reports were generated. Examples of the improvement are: 1/2A24-P20 was 0.05%
& is now 0.03%, 2A12-N4 was 0.04% & is now 0.01%, 1/2A12-N4-F-M was 0.0045% & is now 0.001%,
1A24-P20-F-M was .0045% & is now 0.0008%.
February 1997:
NEW PRODUCT
"15C" Series Model Now Available
UltraVolt, Inc. has completed it’s alpha & beta testing of the new 15C series DC to DC High Voltage Power
Supplies and the 4 models are now in full production. An extension to the high power "C" series the
new units add 0 to 15kV at 0 to 60 Watts or 125 Watts.
January 1997:
NEW UL CERTIFICATION

UltraVolt, Inc. has completed it’s alpha & beta testing of the new 25A & 30A series DC to DC High Voltage
Power Supplies and the 12 models are now in full production. An extension to the popular 10A/15A/20A series of
devices the new units add 0 to 25kV & 0 to 30kV units to the line. Available with output power of 0 to 4
Watts, 15 Watts, and 30 Watts these units can be ordered in either polarity. Available accessories include the
"-E" chassis mounting plate with ears, BR-4 chassis mounting bracket, "-C" RF tight chassis
mount enclosure, "-M" Six sided Mu-Metal shield, and the "-H" finned heatsink for extended
temperature PCB mount applications. As always the lead time is stock to 2 weeks.
