RONKONKOMA, New York — March 18, 1998 — UltraVolt Inc., a world-leading manufacturer of high voltage power supplies, today announced improvements in output ripple levels for all "10A-30A" Series products.

The announcement represents the culmination of a 10 month effort to further reduce the output ripple of standard off-the-shelf "10A-30A" series DC to DC high voltage power supplies. Over 30 models from 0 to 10kV through 30kV, 0 to 4 watts through 30 watts have been enhanced.

"These devices had low ripple," said James Morrison, Executive Vice President, "But recent changes in the marketplace, combined with customer feedback indicated that improving output ripple would be very helpful to our customers."

After completing a detailed customer review and survey, the hardware was beta tested and included in the UL reviews for UL-1950, CUL-950 and IEC-950. Output ripple was reduced as much as 75%. Sample reductions include:
15A12-P4 (+15kV 4Watt) was 0.10% and is now 0.06%
30A24-N30 (-30kV 30Watt) was 0.40% and is now 0.10%

All mechanical and electrical specifications were maintained. New MTBF reports indicate equivalent reliability.
