FULL-FEATURED ULTRAVOLT® 40kV PRODUCT LINE ENTERS BETA TEST PHASE RONKONKOMA, New York January 12, 2001 UltraVolt Inc., a world-leading manufacturer of high voltage power supplies, today announced the start of the beta test phase of the new "40A" Series high voltage power supply. "The '40A' Series has performed admirably during alpha testing and we're pleased to move forward to beta test," said James Morrison, Executive Vice President. "The '40A' Series offers more voltage output than any previous product in our history, and we're very excited that it's one step closer to full release." With a programmable 0 to 40kV output rated at 0 to 4 watts, 15 watts and 30 watts, the "40A" Series requires only 1.5" x 9" of mounting space. It is equipped with analog/DAC ready 0 to +5Vdc output programming and TTL enable/disable control. The "40A"'s DC to DC conversion efficiency approaches a staggering 80%. Additional features of the "40A" Series include scaleable output voltage and current monitors, pulse by pulse current limiting, output short circuit protection and arc protection. Complementing the "40A"s small size and high efficiency are tight regulation, low ripple, and good temperature stability along with fifteen built-in features and functions. As with most UltraVolt products, the "40A" Series can be PCB or chassis mounted in the standard plastic package, or outfitted with optional mu-metal shielding or RF tight packaging.
